Janicke Askevold’s Solomamma wins Ecumenical Jury Award in Locarno
Janicke Askevold’s feature debut Solomamma has won the Ecumenical Jury Award at this year’s Locarno Film Festival where it had its world. Starring Lisa Loven Kongsli (Force Majeure,Turist) and Herbert Nordrum (The Worst Person in The World), the film is represented internationally by Playtime.
Pia Tjelta wins Best Actress at Karlovy Vary
Pia Tjelta was awarded Best Actress at tonight’s closing ceremony of the 59th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The acclaimed Norwegian actress received the prize for her performance in Nina Knag’s debut feature, Don’t Call Me Mama, which received its world premiere at the festival earlier this week.
