The Other Side of the Sun (L'autre côté du soleil)

The Mother Age, from Norwegian artist and filmmaker Irene Kaltenborn, will receive its world premiere at this year’s CPH:DOX, where it screens in the festival’s Next:Wave competition for innovative films by emerging talents. Inspired by Ursula K Le Guin and other feminist thinkers, the film examines alternative origins of human culture, inviting audiences on a richly philosophical and sensory journey of (re)discovery.

Norjalaisen taiteilijan ja elokuvantekijän Irene Kaltenbornin teos The Mother Age saa maailmanensi-iltansa tämän vuoden CPH:DOX-festivaaleilla, jossa se esitetään festivaalin Next:Wave-kilpailussa, joka on tarkoitettu uusien kykyjen innovatiivisille elokuville. Ursula K. Le Guinin ja muiden feminististen ajattelijoiden innoittamana elokuva pohtii ihmiskulttuurin vaihtoehtoista alkuperää ja kutsuu katsojat mukaan filosofiselle ja aistilliselle (uudelleen) löytämisen matkalle.

Copenhagen-based international sales and aggregation house LevelK has secured worldwide rights to Puk Grasten’s upcoming pre-school animated feature and TV series Betty Balloon. The agreement - finalised between LevelK CEO Tine Klint and the film’s main producer Regner Grasten - was reached just ahead of the project’s work-in-progress presentation at Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux. A theatrical release of the animated feature is scheduled for October 2026 in Denmark, with Danish TV2 set to premiere the series.
