
Irene Kaltenborn’s The Mother Age selected for CPH:DOX’s Next:Wave competitionThe Mother Age, from Norwegian artist and filmmaker Irene Kaltenborn, will receive its world premiere at this year’s CPH:DOX, where it screens in the festival’s Next:Wave competition for innovative films by emerging talents. Inspired by Ursula K Le Guin and other feminist thinkers, the film examines alternative origins of human culture, inviting audiences on a richly philosophical and sensory journey of (re)discovery.

LevelK Joins Betty Balloon Ahead of Cartoon Movie PresentationCopenhagen-based international sales and aggregation house LevelK has secured worldwide rights to Puk Grasten’s upcoming pre-school animated feature and TV series Betty Balloon. The agreement - finalised between LevelK CEO Tine Klint and the film’s main producer Regner Grasten - was reached just ahead of the project’s work-in-progress presentation at Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux. A theatrical release of the animated feature is scheduled for October 2026 in Denmark, with Danish TV2 set to premiere the series.
