LevelK announces new international sales as Chasing Millions heads into cinemas in Ireland and Australia
Stephen Burke’s comedy-drama heist feature Chasing Millions, starring Madeleine Madden and Christopher Eccleston, is gearing up for a two-continent theatrical launch, opening 9 October across Ireland through Eclipse Pictures and on 19 November in Australia via Bonsai Films.
Momentum is building internationally, with Copenhagen-based international sales house LevelK confirming new deals for the UK (Vertigo), Spain (Twelve Oaks), the Balkans (Fivia) and Asia-Pacific (Cinema World), while CineSky Pictures has secured extensive airline rights. North American and Italian rights are currently under negotiation.
Producers, Jane Doolan of Mammoth Films and Michael of Wrenn Invisible Republic added “We’re thrilled to see Chasing Millions beginning its theatrical journey in Ireland and Australia, two countries at the heart of the film. Eccleston and Madden will attend the film’s World Premiere in Dublin on 1 October in association with Dublin International Film Festival. The Australian premiere will follow on 8 October, opening the Irish Film Festival in Sydney ahead of its general cinema release a month later.

Inspired by the record-breaking Northern Bank robbery, Chasing Millions follows a determined young Australian detective and a world-weary Belfast cop who, paired together against their will, are tasked with tracking down the stolen haul of £26 million – only for their investigation to spiral into a series of wild and unexpected twists.
Directed by Stephen Burke, who co-wrote the screenplay with Australian Katherine Thomson, the film was shot by Irish cinematographer Owen McPolin, with production designer Jenny Oman, edited by New Zealander Chris Plummer and Jim Moginie from iconic rock band Midnight Oil composed the original score. Christopher Eccleston and Madeleine Madden lead the cast. The film was shot on location in Dundalk and Dublin, Ireland and post-produced in Australia.
Chasing Millions is an official Irish-Australian co-production and is produced by Jane Doolan for Mammoth Films, in co-production with Michael Wrenn’s Invisible Republic.
