Audun Amundsen Sets Sail with New Documentary - Just Ahead of Click the Link Below World Premiere

Hot on the heels of his latest film Click the Link Below, Norwegian filmmaker Audun Amundsen announces a breathtaking new venture: sailing documentary Aleutian Dreams (working title), that promises to chart both emotional and physical extremes.

Aleutian Dreams will follow two families, including Amundsen’s own, as they prepare in Japan for a daring voyage through one of the world’s most remote and visually stunning maritime regions. Amundsen has unveiled his new project in the days leading up to the Doc Edge 2025 world premiere of Click the Link Below.

Filmed in immersive fly-on-the-wall style, Aleutian Dreams is set to blend high-stakes adventure with intense personal storytelling. Confined to a single sailboat for weeks on end tensions rise, family dynamics are put to the test and emotions run high.

“This film will blend human drama with untamed nature, offering both adventure and emotional storytelling for a wide international audience,” says Amundsen. “It’s what happens when ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances - together.”

Amundsen is known for diving deep into his projects, embracing unpredictability, uncertainty and novelty. Now, with absolutely no prior sailing experience, he is preparing to lead his own family on a hazardous journey through one of the world’s wildest regions.

Meanwhile, Click the Link Below is set for its world premiere on 12 July in Auckland, New Zealand. The documentary delves into the controversial and captivating world of online marketing, exposing an industry built on hype, hustle and heartbreak.

With rare access, Amundsen explores the rise of marketing ‘gurus’, unpacks the psychological impact of algorithm-driven ambition and wrestles with the personal cost of chasing digital success.

The film features some of the most influential figures in the online industry and includes interviews with experts in psychology, media and business - voices with a combined reach of hundreds of millions of views. But rather than launching a takedown, the film approaches its subjects with curiosity and nuance.

From costly mentorship programmes to one-on-one meetings with Internet millionaires, Amundsen has embarked on a years-long journey to understand the people behind the promises and why so many are drawn to this world. “Click the Link Below is not a hit piece,” says Amundsen. “It’s a human story set in a digital world.”

International sales for Click the Link Below are handled by Sideways Film, while North Film Distribution (Anders Tangen) will release the film later this year in the Nordics.

Audun Amundsen will attend the Doc Edge festival screenings of Click the Link Below in Auckland: 12–13 July; Wellington: 17 July; and Christchurch: 19 July. He will be available for interviews.
